Games

For our main attraction, we host a various selection of games that you may partake in to test your luck. At the round table down the steps you'll find that our Dealers are well versed in the art of the cards...

  • All listed commands are put inside of brackets (example: {/dice 2})

  • Initiative:Whenever a certain game is listed to use Initiative, the Dealer will ask you to use {/dice 20}. The turn order will be sorted with the highest rolls going first, and the lowest rolls going later. Whoever rolls the same number as anyone else will have to roll again and take their new number. If during a re-rolled initiative they land on a number that someone landed on in the first roll, they will be placed directly under that player in the turn order.

  • Anyone benefiting from VIP can raise the max bet of all games below by an additional 150k of the listed amount.

- Blackjack | 50k to 350k
~Payout: Varies (Push bets used)
The venue staple! Meet at the large table located downstairs to play, and join in for rule explanation. Know that the important rule is that we stand on hard 17

~ Deathroll | 350k max bet
* Payout: x2 Betting Amount
Deathroll (1v1)
- Old but gold. Both players do a {/dice 20} will decide who goes first. The player who rolled the highest outcome will perform a
{/dice 999} ({/dice} also works) to set the starting number. Players will take turns rolling the dice and will use the result of whatever was rolled to use in their dice. The first player to hit "1" loses
Deathroll (Groups)
* Payout - Pot/Winner Takes All
- Functions the same as 1v1 Deathroll listed above. The key difference is that each player will put forward their bets, and the Dealer will contribute to the pot based on an average of the total bets placed.

~ Cho-han | 100k max bet
* Payout: x2 Betting Amount
The Player will be asked to choose between two options: Cho (Even) or Han (Odd). After the Player gives their answer, the Dealer will perform two rolls of {/dice 6} and add the results of the two dice together. the Player will win or loss based on if the outcome of the dice added together is a even number or an odd number

~ Garlean Roulette (aka Russian Roulette) | 300k max bet
* Payout: x2 Betting Amount
*Initiative: Yes
- High tension knockout. The game will start with the usual initiative roll, with whoever rolling the lowest going first. For this game, Players take turns rolling {/dice 6} trying to avoid the landing on a "Death Number". The numbers are....
1st/Initial Number: 1
2nd Number: 4
3rd Number: 6
- At the start only the initial number of "1" is used, but as the game continues more death numbers will be added to the dice up to a max of 3 active numbers. How frequently numbers are added is based a certain number of turns, counted in "Rounds" (full explanation below).- Whoever hits a death number loses the game, and last one standing wins!

Explanation of rounds/death number (cont.)

"What exactly counts as a round?"
Answer:When all players have taken a turn, then one Round has officially passed.
"How does Roulette change with multiple people?"
Answer: The rate at which death numbers will be added is based on the amount of players.
1-on-1 (2 Players): After 2 rounds have passed, A death number will be addedGroups (3+ Players): After one full round makes it way across the table, A death number will be added. When someone triggers a death number and gets knocked out, that number will be "spent" and the game continues on. The spent number will replenish after a one full round makes it way across the table again. If someone gets knocked out and only the "1" death number in play, then it will be reloaded automatically.

~ Joust | 300k max bet
Payout: x2 Betting Amount
- As per Initiative, the highest is the Attacker and the lowest is the Defender.
- Each player has 2 HP in total, with no way to regain HP
- Attacker rolls with {/dice 7} to trigger one of two actions....

NumberStatusResult
1-3MissAttacker misses and has to roll again.
4-7HitAttacker initiates the Damage Phase

- If the Attacker successfully triggers a Damage Phase, the Defender must then roll a {/dice 4} to see if they...

NumberResult
1Take 1 HP Damage
2Miss
3Gambit - Defender rolls an additional {/dice 2} and take the following result: 1=Hit Yourself for 1HP, 2=Hit the Attacker for 1HP and Swap with them.

- After the Damage Step resolves, Attacker resumes with /dice 7
-If Attacker gets a Miss twice they must swap roles with the defender.
-First to get hit twice loses, and the one standing wins the game.

~ Snake Pit | 300k max bet
Payout: x2 Betting Amount
- The Player is tasked with rolling 11 {/dice 20} in succession. If they land on a "1" or "11" its a win for the house. If Player lands on an "11", they can choose to Split the Snake (StS) by giving the Dealer more gil equal to their current betting amount to continue at their current progress. The player will have 4 additional rolls added to their total after performing a StS, and "11" is now a loss.

Triple Triad 101

In TT you will compete against your opponent using 5 cards, with who goes first being decided by a coin toss.Players take turns placing down cards one-by-one on a 9x9 grid. You can capture opposing cards by placing a card next to a card of the opposite color. If the side of your card is a greater value than the side of the card you placed it against, you capture it and that card becomes yours. This will play out until all the spots on the grid have been filled, and the player that has the most captures at the end of the game wins.

Card Atanomy

RULE EXPLANATIONDraft- Both players will choose from a selection of 3 sets of random cards,each set will have a certain level card available to use (1 star through 5 star).
1st set: 4-star & 3-star
2nd set: 1-star & 2-star
3rd set: 5-star
Note: One of these sets will alwayscontain a Type.
These sets pull from every card available in the game, ensuring that all cards are accessible for all players for a fairer experienceSudden Death - If the match end in a draw, the game will repeat and swap a random card between the two players.All Open - Both players can see each others cardsThree Open - Both players see the first three cards of each others deckOrder - Cards must be played within the order they appear in your deck, starting from your top-leftmost card.Chaos - Players can only play a certain play per turn determined by the game itselfReverse - Sides with a lower value beat sides of higher value, and sides of high value can't capture sides of lower valueFallen Ace - A card with a side totaling 1 can beat an ace~ Plus - If you play a card that touches two other cards and both sides add up to the same total (ex: 2 to a 3, 1 to a 4. Both of these add up to the same combined total of 5), you capture those cards.~ Same - If you play a card that touches two other cards and both sides have identical numbers (ex: 2 to a 2, 5 to a 5), you capture those cards~ The Plus and Same rules can be rather confusing at a glance
Click here for a neat visual on what it looks like
~ Ascension - Cards that belong to a certain Type have the value of their sides increased by "1". This bonus stacks if another card of the same Type is placed on the grid, and this will apply to all matching cards currently on field. If the value of one of your card's sides reaches a value of "11" it now counts as an ace.~ Descension - Cards that belong to a certain Type have the value of their sides decreased by "1". This bonus stacks if another card of the same Type is placed on the grid, and this will apply to all matching cards currently on field. Furthermore, this negative can reduce the value of a side of a card down to a minimum of "0".*Roulette - Chooses a random rule to add onto the game (Ace, Ascension, Plus, Sudden Death, Same, etc.)
*This pool does not include Draft, since we have it chosen by default

info

Welcome to the Den

Tucked away in a corner of the oasis, Seiryu's Den is a Far Eastern style establishment that hosts gatherings filled with acivities. Said activities usually result in losing track of the time outside, gain/loss of valuables, and general japery, but it's all in good fun. Promise. We offer all of these, but running games is our speciality of course.Do mind the extra scales and claws we might don, they are mearly part of the costume (or not, that's up to your own assumptions).

| Locale: Goblin, The Goblet, Ward 23, Plot 28 |
| Usual Openings: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday |
| Timeslots: 7PM-10PM PST (Tues)/ 9PM-12PM PST(Thurs & Sat) |

Rules

#1 The first rule of the Den is to talk to everyone about the Den :)#2 We mostly rely on /say to do our usual speaking, and talk in reference to our in-character/ooc state with or without the use of quotations (Light RP elements).#3 Both the bar and the big table at the back is where we host our games. Both the bartender and main dealer are versed in the ways of gamba so feel free to walk up and initiate!
Do keep in mind that the Dealer does have final say at the end of the day. If there is confusion anywhere with any game rules feel free to speak up.
#4 While we do appreciate good banter, please don't take it too far and outright attack anyone for any reason (ex: harssasment, religion, orientation, anything that ends with -ism, etc.) This applies to both in-character and IRL interactions.
If you are feeling uncomfortable or feel you're being targeted/harrased in any way don't hesitate to tell one of the staff.
Short version: Don't be a Namazu. They walk funny, talk funnier, and are only tolerable on a open grillOther than that, It's hard to get on our bad side, just keep the good vibes going~#5 Final Rule: Enjoy yourself and have fun of course. If you enjoyed your time here we'd appreciate it if you'd spread our name in order to help us grow!

Note:anytime we do a event/collab off-venue, we will not be opening the venue that day if it shares the same day.
